Leadership Training and Development

Multi-day, or bespoke, leadership packages

Join us in Finse for a multi-day leadership training and development package, set in the Norwegian mountains, with easy access to major cities and based out of the amazing DNT Finsehytta.

Sample Itinerary 

Day 1 – Arrival, Connection & Intention

Morning – Travel & Transition

  • Travel on the Bergensbanen scenic railway to Finse

  • Journey through valleys, forests, and mountain plateaus — an intentional slow transition from daily pace to reflective space.

Afternoon – Arrival & Orientation

  • Arrival in Finse and check-in at DNT Finsehytta

  • Welcome coffee and introduction from your leadership facilitators

  • Short walk and “First Reflections” session: Where am I now as a leader? What do I hope to gain here?

  • Leadership Exercise 1: The Landscape of Leadership – identifying personal strengths and growth areas through guided discussion.

Evening – Shared Table & Shared Goals

  • Home-cooked dinner together at Finsehytta

  • Workshop: Setting the Course – exploring the power of intention and group trust-building

  • Group planning for the following day’s outdoor sessions

  • Optional: quiet reflection time or informal fireside discussion

Day 2 – Experience, Challenge & Insight

Morning – Lessons in Motion

  • Traditional mountain breakfast at Finsehytta

  • Outdoor Leadership Sessions I & II – field-based exercises on communication, situational awareness, and decision-makingExamples: task planning, group dynamics under pressure, adaptive leadership tasks

  • Leadership debriefs are integrated throughout, linking outdoor experience to workplace realities

Lunch – Packed Mountain Meal shared on location, surrounded by Finse’s glacier and landscape

Afternoon – Reflection & Feedback

  • Guided reflection and constructive feedback session for each participant

    • Framework: Observe–Reflect–Apply

    • Focus on communication, collaboration, and personal growth

  • Team activity: Active Feedback in Practice – peer-driven insight exchange to strengthen trust and accountability

Evening – Inspiration & Connection

  • Dinner together at Finsehytta

  • Inspirational talk: 'Leadership Beyond Your Comfort Zone'

  • Light-hearted games night – connecting through laughter and shared experience

Day 3 – Integration & Forward Vision

Morning – Reflection & Commitment

  • Final mountain breakfast

  • Team debrief: What did I learn? What will I take home?

  • Workshop: Leadership Next Steps – converting insights into concrete actions

  • Closing circle and personal experience log

Afternoon – Return Journey

  • Depart Finse on the Bergensbanen train

  • Arrive in Oslo mid-afternoon

  • Optional guided reflection on the train: journaling and successful self-prompts
